What to see on this route

Ajmer Sharif Dargah

45 minutes off the highway. Head covering required; leave shoes and cameras with the driver.

Pushkar

Brahma Temple and the ghats need 90 minutes. Avoid the 'flower puja' touts at the lake steps.

Chittorgarh Fort

Adds 90 minutes but keeps you on route — the single best stop of this drive.
