Chittorgarh is 700 acres of fort on a hill — you cannot walk it. Our drivers take the vehicle inside the fort and follow the loop road so you spend your energy on Vijay Stambh and Rani Padmini's palace, not on a 6 km slog in 40°C.

What to see on this route
Vijay Stambh
Nine storeys, narrow internal stairs. Climb before 10 am; it turns into an oven by noon.
Rani Padmini Palace
The water palace where the mirror-reflection legend comes from — 10 minutes, mostly for the story.
Meera Temple
Quietest corner of the fort and the best stonework most visitors walk straight past.
Local tips from our drivers
- Fort entry closes at 6 pm; the last worthwhile light is 5.15 pm from Kirti Stambh.
- Sanwariyaji temple at Mandphia is a 20-minute detour on the way back and is genuinely worth it.
- Combine with Udaipur–Chittorgarh–Pushkar if you are heading north; it costs less than backtracking.
