Udaipur to Mount Abu Taxi
The run to Mount Abu is one of the prettiest drives in Rajasthan — flat Mewar farmland, then twenty-eight hairpin bends up the Aravallis. We only put drivers who have done this climb dozens of times on it, because the last 28 km is where inexperienced drivers make passengers sick.

What to see on this route
Dilwara Jain Temples
Closed to tourists before 12 noon. Plan the climb accordingly — no cameras or phones inside.
Nakki Lake
Skip the crowded main jetty; boating from the far side costs half and the light is better after 5 pm.
Guru Shikhar
Highest point in Rajasthan, 15 km from town. Go at sunrise for clear Aravalli views before the haze.
Local tips from our drivers
- Rajasthan-registered taxis pay a toll at the Abu Road check post — our fixed fare already includes it.
- Mount Abu is 8°C cooler than Udaipur. December mornings drop near freezing; carry a jacket even in a heatwave.
- Ask the driver to stop at Ambaji (Gujarat side, 45 min detour) if you want a temple worth the extra hour.
