What to see on this route
Kumbhalgarh Fort
Start at Hanuman Pol by 9 am. The walk to Badal Mahal at the top is 30 minutes of steady uphill.
Ranakpur Jain Temple
Open to non-Jain visitors 12 noon to 5 pm only. Leather belts must be left at the counter.
Kumbhalgarh Wildlife Sanctuary
Jeep safaris leave at 6.30 am and 3 pm; leopard sightings are real but not guaranteed.

- Do Kumbhalgarh first, Ranakpur after noon — that is the only order that matches both opening windows.
- The evening light-and-sound show at the fort runs at 6.45 pm; if you stay for it, you reach Udaipur by 9.30 pm.
- Eat at Aodhi or the roadside dhabas at Kelwara — the fort canteen is poor value.
